I also run Home Education Mindfulness sessions from my clinic at Brook House on Thursdays. I am a former teacher, independently DBS checked, and have been on my own home education journey with my eldest child who has struggled with school and neurodivergence.
I’m happy to discuss my home education journey in more detail with you if you are interested in having a child attend one of the home education sessions.
Sessions are kept very small – between 3 and 6 participants. I run roughly to a school schedule because I still have one child in school and we tend to be busy/away during half terms/term breaks. Depending on how many people want to participate each half term, I either run one multi-age group (which has it’s own benefits!) or multiple groups separated by rough age ranges.
Sessions consist of a mindfulness activity, some work/discussions around some of the PSHE topics studied in school (in a very friendly, relaxed fashion) and often a short sound therapy session or other relaxation time/technique.
Please contact me for more information on home education sessions.
