Baby Massage

Baby Massage + Sound Sessions are designed specifically for caregivers and non-mobile babies.

Baby massage and sound therapy provide similar benefits, with the added benefit of the caregiver absorbing the personal benefits of sound therapy alongside the baby.

Benefits of baby massage include promoting secure attachment through skin to skin contact helping bonding and connection, aiding digestion and improving symptoms of colic, gas and constipation, improving circulation to aid muscle development and immune system development, and empowering caregivers with confidence caring for their baby.

Benefits of sound therapy include regulation of heart rate and breathing to promote relaxation, security and calm, helping establish healthy sleep patterns, supporting the development of listening skills crucial to language processing and cognitive development, and strengthening the bond between child and caregiver.

A baby sound booking automatically includes one adult and one baby. Please contact me if you need to bring more than 1 baby and I will make sure I set up the room accordingly.

I provide yoga mats, pillows, eye mask pillows, and a blanket. You are welcome to bring anything else you would like to bring to make yourself and your baby comfortable. I suggest bringing a water bottle as people often find they are ready for a drink at the end of a session.

You will lay down on your mat and make yourself comfortable. People often choose to lay with their baby between their legs or on their chest, or curl around them on their side. Whatever feels right for you. Please feel free to do what you need to during the session to keep your baby comfortable. You are welcome to feed (in whatever form) during the session. Brook House has changing units available.

Each week of the block focuses on a different aspect of baby massage so that by the end of the block we will have covered the whole body. Every session is unique and I keep the sound level relatively calm for the baby sessions. Every session is completely unique based on the energy and vibrations in the room at the time. I often incorporate some well-known nursery songs into the baby sound sessions. Each session also includes some sharing time to speak with other caregivers and build relationships.
